Alberta OHS Act — Multi-Employer Worksite Obligations
Every employer on a multi-employer worksite has obligations to its own workers and to coordinate with the prime. Subs that can't show how they coordinate are the first to be stood down when an OHS officer arrives.
Alberta OHS Act — Prime Contractor Coordination
If you ARE the prime on a multi-prime site (yes, it happens to subs more often than you'd think), the OHS Act puts coordination across all employers on you. You need it in writing and you need to live it.
OHS Code Part 2 — Hazard Assessment, Elimination & Control
FLHAs and pre-job hazard cards have to identify the actual hazards of the actual work. Recycled hazard cards from the last project are the #1 sub-side citation we see on multi-prime sites.
