Province-wide coverage

Safety consulting across Alberta — Edmonton to Fort McMurray, Grande Prairie to Medicine Hat.

Headquartered in Edmonton, working on real Alberta operations from Calgary and the Peace to Fort McMurray, the oil sands, and small towns in between — same senior team, same standards, same follow-through.

Quick Answer

Does Safety Ahead work outside Edmonton?

Yes. We are an Edmonton-headquartered Alberta OHS consultancy founded in 2007, and the work has always been provincial. Engagements span Calgary, Red Deer, Fort McMurray and the oil sands, Grande Prairie and the Peace, southern Alberta, and rural and remote operations across the province. Most engagements blend planned on-site visits with structured remote work so travel time isn't padded into your invoice.

How we deliver outside Edmonton

How does province-wide consulting work without extra windshield time?

The model is the same whether you're in Sherwood Park or Slave Lake. We scope what genuinely needs to happen on the ground, and run the rest as structured remote work — so the engagement fits your operation, not the other way around.

Scoped travel, not padded mileage

On-site visits are planned against what the work actually needs. Multi-stop visit sequences let one trip serve more than one purpose for rotational or multi-site operations.

Structured remote work between visits

Document review, program writing, audit-prep coaching, supervisor training, and incident debriefs run on phone, video, and shared docs so we're not just billing windshield time.

Senior-led. Team-supported.

Our team works your file together. Senior advisors lead every engagement and are involved at every stage — so you always have experienced eyes on your situation, no matter where your sites are.

Industry-correct Certifying Partner

We match the right Certifying Partner — ACSA, AMHSA, Energy Safety Canada, AgSafe Alberta, and others — to your industry classification and prepare you for that partner's specific audit.

Same standards, same follow-through

A small contractor in Hinton gets the same thinking applied to their program as a multi-site operation in Edmonton. Geography doesn't downgrade the work.

We develop your supervisors and safety staff — not just your program

Customized workshops, field coaching, and one-on-one mentoring for supervisors and safety coordinators — built around your industry and how your crews actually work. We also facilitate safety committee meetings to build internal ownership. Your people get stronger. Your program gets used.

Communities we work in

30 Alberta communities and regions we work in, grouped for easy scanning. Don't see your town? It's not a deal-breaker — most of the province is within reach, and the starting point is always a conversation about what your operation actually needs.

Industries we work with across the province

Which industries does Safety Ahead work with across Alberta?

What do employers across Alberta ask us most often?

Straight answers about working with an Edmonton-based safety consultancy from anywhere in Alberta.

Yes. We're headquartered in Edmonton but the work has always been provincial — Calgary, Red Deer, Fort McMurray, the oil sands, Grande Prairie, the Peace, southern Alberta, and points in between. Engagements typically blend on-site visits with structured remote work so travel time isn't padded into your invoice.

Site visits are scoped against the work that actually requires being there — first walk-through, audit prep, supervisor coaching, incident review. Between visits we work over phone, email, video calls, and shared documents. For multi-site or rotational operations we plan visit sequences so travel covers more than one purpose at a time.

Travel is quoted up front as part of the engagement scope so you know the all-in cost before anything starts. There are no surprise mileage line items on the invoice. For fractional safety management clients, on-site cadence is built into the monthly retainer rather than billed per trip.

Yes. For active OHS orders, contact reports, or stop-work notices, the fastest path is calling (780) 473-4772 — initial response and intake happen the same day regardless of where you are. On-site presence, when needed, is scheduled around what the order actually requires.

We work with employers across the major Alberta Certifying Partners — ACSA (construction and most trades), AMHSA (manufacturing), Energy Safety Canada (oil & gas), AgSafe Alberta, and others depending on industry classification. We help match the right partner to your operation and prepare you for that partner's specific audit format.

No. A lot of our work starts with operations that have outgrown a binder, never had a written program, or have a program that no longer matches how the work is actually being done. We meet you where you are and scope from there.

First conversation, no obligation. We talk through your operation, where the pressure is right now (audit, OHS visit, prime contractor requirement, growth, or just a gut feeling things have drifted), and what kind of cadence makes sense. From there we scope a defined first piece of work — assessment, audit prep, program build, or oversight start — before anything bigger is committed to.

Wherever your sites are, start with a conversation.

Tell us where you operate and what's prompting the look. We'll scope a starting piece of work that fits your geography and your operation — before anything bigger gets committed to.
